About Emergency CMO/Registrar/SRMO positions at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital

Criteria:

  • Eligible for NSW Medical Board Registration
  • If you are overseas-trained and are not eligible for the “Competent Authority” pathway, you will need to sit the AMC MCQ examination, unless you are already fully registered with the NSW Medical Board.
  • SRMO / CMO / Junior Registrar - Minimum 2 - 3 years Post-graduate
  • Registrar-in-Charge positions require Medical Officers with minimum 3-4 Post-graduate as well as 3 months Anaesthetic or 6 months of ICU skills

Emergency Registrar, SRMO & CMO positions are available at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, located 30 kilometres from CBD, in the leafy Northern suburbs of Sydney, NSW Australia.

The mixed (Adult / Paediatric) Emergency Department has approximately 32,000 presentations per year, with a wide spectrum of disease presentations.

The hospital has over 270 Beds and services include Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedic, O & G, and ICU, with excellent support from Allied Health Teams.

Accredited provisional / Advanced training positions – in Emergency Medicine are available. Non ED rotations eg. ICU, Anaesthetics, Paediatrics, Medical terms will be considered for those advanced trainees who can work for 6 – 12 months in the Emergency Department.

Hospital-funded education opportunities in PAR, PETALS, ALS, EMST, CAMEC and other courses will be offered to successful applicants during their employment.
